Sketches for sensor integration
From top to bottom: loops as grips with conductive fabric, little 3D hill to grasp with hand and conductive middle part, hairy tuft with conductive threads.
The following pictures show samples for capacitive sensors.
The golden ball feels soft and smooth. Whereas the hairy sensor feels prickly because of the conductive thread loops mixed with the blue wool.
The idea for all sensors is to integrate another color to communicate to the actor where he/she should be touching. The deep blue feels like a nice contrast for this purpose.
